as many of you know i am doing a computer course in college and from today until three weeks i am on work experience from nine am until five thirty pm monday to friday with ....count them.... one lunch break all day...... i am not being paid for this. this is purely for grades and to see how i get on in a work environment.

today i wanted to jump from the roof of the building. there is a system in any company where if a customer rings up and offers new business you fill in a lot of forms and whatnot and then file them away for easy access if ever you need to refer to them.

in this office the girl that was in charge of that did not file them away.....she threw them in a heap in the cupboard for the person who now has her job to file away. the person who now has her job felt the task too daunting to do...... so she didn't bother.



guess who was stuck doing it all day.....................................?

yep.... ME!

i had two piles at least a foot high of forms to sort out according to month, date, name, type of business and all alphabetically. today.....from nine am until five thirty with one hour break i came up with thirty six new piles of sorted forms ready to be filed away..... it was only a third of the two big piles.

that is why i wanted to leap off the building.

i had a reallllllllllllllllllly reallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly long day.

i almost died of boredom at one point or another. and if i wasn't filing i was answering phones with the catchy phrase ...."hello rentokill pest control mandy speaking how may i direct your call?"

I had a *oops* rubbish day at college. Not as bad as your day from the sounds of it, though!

i doubt anyone had a day like mine.......

and the worst thing is....... every day for the next three weeks will be like that

well its only three weeks AP it will fly in and look at the work experience you can have on your c.v for a better job at the end ....... stick in there

yeah and me being such a gullible old thing will probably go and help them do it!

They prolly didn't have anything organised for you to do...

It will get better....

let's hope so... i don't think i could stand three weeks of sorting out thier mess

they sound as if they are taking advantage of you
