ok, I'm a bit angry, so I'm going to get it off my chest...

It turns out that Jim has been banned from the site. The thing that really pisses me off is that no one had the decency to tell him why or give him any kind of right to reply.

We all know there was a spat on the board at the weekend. Yes, Jim said a few things that maybe he shouldn't, but nothing worth a ban and stuff that maybe a PM or if felt necessary a bit of pre-moderation to let things calm down. There are 2 sides to the story and I don't claim to know the whole story, but I do know that some people shit stirred that had no need to and others are not entirely innocent.

At the very least Jim, a long standing member, deserves an email telling him why he has been abnned and for how long.

I urge the moderators/admins of this site to contact Jim and tell him why and give him a right of reply. If not here, then at least by email.

Wont say too much as i am might get banned myself ........ but i second what Mike said ........ so calling someone a 'retard' and an 'abuser' amongst other things isn't grounds for being banned then.

And certain Mods shouldn't let the authority go to there heads FFS, or be swayed by little girls ......... maybe he ..... ooops i mean they should keep any personal issues out of decisions they make.

And i have to say there should be new forum rules as some do seem to get away with it !

I miss jim!! Its not fair that he has been banned! Everyone is entitled to their opinion, maybe it should not be given on a thread but he was not the only person to blame as previously stated! Cant believe the person who banned him did it because he is wrapped sooo tightly around sum1s little finger and will do anything for that person kos they think it will get them somewhere! Dont really care if this offends either of those people and i get banned, this site is being taken over by power hungry puppets!! lol!!

am pished and havent been here for a few days cos i hate the new site so am bit behind wats goin on..... but whatthe fuck!!! Jim has been in here s long as me, nigh on 2 years so why is he being treated so rough?!! He's a run of crap off here where girls are concerned, he doesn't deserve the wy he's been treated by them or who's responsible for his ban.

The decision to ban anyone on here can only be made by Toby so he can be the only one to make any comment on this, but I think that anyone can make an educated guess about why this has happened.

There are always two sides to every story like you say, and you are actually proving the point here, cos I get the feeling you only know one side yourself.

As far as this story goes, the only thing that matters to the mods here is what gets posted on the forum, regardless of the reasons behind it, or who posts it.
The same rules have to apply to everybody and being on here for a long time does not give you automatic licence to do as you wish.

What was posted was a personal attack, which is against the rules, anyone who does this on the forum usually think they are justified to do so.

This is NEVER the case.

Like I said though, Toby can be the only one who can give exact reasons why he has been banned, the only thing I can suggest is for Jim to email him asking why.

And for the record I haven't spoken to Toby on this matter in any way.

Have to agree that you don't just ban someone who's a regular.

I'm a forum administrator myself and I have to admit I have banned some people (without giving them a warning) from their first mistake (really bad mistakes), but never banned a regular without a warning. A ban warning that is.
