Yes, it's coming, or is it????

The end of the world I mean.

I am talking about the CERN expermient, which may (or may not) wipe out all existance.

If you don't know what I mean, look here.....

Bovvered? Only slightly, but I'm more interested in what will actually happen when they flick the switch.

You know what they say, nothing ventured nothing gained......

ok, freaky shit! I just wrote 'nothing ventured nothing gained' in another thread. What are the odds? It could have created a hole in reality that swallowed the Earth.

...no wait, we've got CERN for that

Here is a video that explains things pretty well......

Be warned, it is over seven minutes long, so if you have a short attention span, you may want to get some matchsticks for your eyelids....

But seriously, this COULD be:

i) the most important thing to ever happen in your lifetime.

ii) the biggest waste of time and money in your lifetime.

or

iii) the last thing to ever happen in you lifetime.

Excited? I am.......

If it were to create a blackhole, it wouldn't be big enough to absorb the earth. It'd die. Then again, if these tiny particles are to somehow act as a catalyst in it's progression, then yippee-kiyay.

They've been developing the machine for quite a while now and should get it going in a few years if all goes to plan.

I find it funny how some people are trying to sue them, yet they're happy for people to have nuclear weapons. For all they know, the LHC may not even work.

Just read the date is of this month. So yeah, not years away.
