I enjoy a drink but I don't go out with the sole intention of getting drunk, although I have to admit it does happen occasionally. Are peoples lives getting so bad that they feel the need to drink so much they don't remember anything, lets be honest it is hardly pleasurable coping with the after effects. I have never found women who can hardly walk to be very attractive.

I guess I am probably one of the minority but what do the rest of you think?

well chorlton no offence but its my bday this wkend and i have the sole and singleminded intention to go out and drink till i cry vodka and red bull, dance till my feet leave lil trails of blood leading away from the dancefloor as i hobble home in my bare feet shouting suggestive obsceneties at any man that passes by, it wont even matter whether or not he is attractive as i will not be able to see straight. with any luck i will find my way home by morning looking like i have been dragged thru a hedge backwards and dropped in every mud puddle on the way with eyes a lovely shade of red that any self respecting demon would envy and a mouth that feels like i have just eaten either an ashtray or a bag of sawdust, unable to speak as a) i have no voice left after shouting the said obsceneties and b) if there is anything louder than a whisper in my vicinity my head shall crack and fall into dust on the doorstep. then i think i will flop onto the nearest flat surface (probably the kitchen floor) and practically die for a few hours (using the mop as a pillow of course, even paraletic i need my comforts) when upon waking i will be the grumpiest, most nasty and horrible person you could come across (apart from all my mates who will no doubt be in the same sorry predicament) until the next day when i return to my lovely and normal (not to mention sane, clean, and sober) self.

alcohol.... dont you just love it!

I don't go out to get drunk.

People that go out every night/weekend/whatever just to get pissed annoy the hell out of me.

I have no problem with birthdays and hen do's but alot of people seem to go out every weekend with the soul intention of getting completely legless. I have been guilty of being drawn into the same weekend drinking routine myself but I am trying to get my friends to do something different like going out to a restaurant occasionally instead.

Nothing like a well thought out response and that was nothing like it.

I don't feel the need to get drunk often, its been well over a year since I was last drunk, usually I don't have anymore than 2 or 3 a day.

Im probably in the minority here, but I really don't see the appeal in getting wasted every weekend like almost everyone else my age seems to.

To be honest, I've been on Medication for the last year, so I've not had anything to drink at all, and I can't say I've missed it. But saying that, generally whenever I'd go out I would only maybe have 1 drink, so I've never been that much of a drinker.

Alcohol has always been a way of life for some people.

It's just that people have only really started noticing it now.

I'm not a big fan myself, but will drink when I feel like it, not simply for the sake of drinking though.

I have just made a pledge.

That I won't drink until the new football season. I may actually go beyond that and say my birthday(22nd November..make note!)
