Hello - i'm new to this lark and feeling worse about being single already. i have never felt so rejected so consistently for such a long period of time. Please give me a reason to carry on. Should I just do something else and hope, as I always have, that something will turn up eventually, as it always does and try not to feel too bad about being single?

I spotted this thread being mentioned elsewhere so I thought it was only polite for me to introduce myself formally.

I'm a single Computer Science graduate, who splits his working week between a paid role at an IT Consulting company and volunteering at a local Oxfam bookshop. This gives me plenty of friends and colleagues but few opportunities for dating women.

To understand me it's worthwhile grasping that I'm a surreal intellectual, who looks like a regular beer-swilling, footie-obsessed bloke at first glance.

My profile picture comes from the time when I helped "Bananaman" Owen campaign for the Official Monster Raving Loony party in the Henley by-election. I do this kind of thing because I believe democracy is important enough to be satirised. Henley was a tough gig but it was good fun ...

I'm also a romantic, who is prepared to travel to meet women, and someone who tends to have long-term relationships.

Hi, I've been posting for a week or so now, but I've only just noticed this thread, so....

I'm Darryl, I love music, too many different type's to mention, I love to dance, and dj, I love going to festival's especially Glastonbury. My favourite type of holiday is a European city break, I like art and culture, but I'm not at all snobby about it. I like to read, I like incense, and chocolate, and I dont watch much tv.

Kind of looking for a relationship, but I'm not in a big hurry at the moment, just enjoying myself right now.

Also, I want to say I'm here to make freind's and have conversation's with male or female's as well as looking for something more, so... talk to me!
