Another wet weekend in Southampton and I am still bored. Does anyone else think it is strange that my wife's parents came to stay with me just so they could visit her. (she lives 5miles away!!!)

Or am I just being stupid?

we have been through this hun, it is extremly strange that they have come to stay with you when you are not with her anymore ...

I dont think its strange at all. Good on them wanting to keep a good relationship with you. I always find it sad when couple;s break up and the rest of the families divide up.
Obviously you get on well with them, why should you lose that? Unless you'd rather of course, then you should not have invited them to stay with you.

The kinda invited themselves, and I would like to stay friends, but having them stay was a little strained to say the least

Ah. I see. Does your ex not have room for them then? Make sure they dont just use you as a free B&B every time they want to see their daughter in that case!
Next time they invite themselves, think carefully and only say ok if it's what you want. I've known people like that in the past.

you aint a hotel or a b&b hun, like rocketgirl says ... i would suggest if you and them want to stay friends and you want to see eachother that when they come up they stay somewhere else and maybe you could all go for a drink or a meal that way if its strained again you can get shot of them at the end of the night! x
