Simple question...If the internet died tomorrow how would it affect your life?

If the world-wide-web stopped working tomorrow i'd be right cheesed off, so many people i chat with online, possible relationships through these websites, friends and family that i email etc, getting phone numbers and maps to places, info about gigs, shopping online, would all be gone...scary i know....

your thoughts please?

I didnt have the net for most of last week due to virgin media being shit. It was ok, I did lots of BBQing and other stuff. BUt I missed not being able to do my banking and chat with friends.

Hmm, can't decide, if the net died tomorrow it would be great for my work as I could tell everyone how much better my protocol is than the current one and get them to switch to that Smile Of course with the net down I probably wouldn't be able to inform many people as it is my primary means of communication lol

If the 'net died tomorrow I would:

Be a lot more bored than I am now;
Watch less porn (not that I see a lot now, just more than I would normally;
Know less about what was going on with WBA, as my local 'paper doubles as the Wolves fanzine.

Can't think of any more problems, as I have phone numbers for about 90% of my friends.

I work with the net so that would change.
Found a gf through the net so that'd change.
All my friends are IRL friends so at least I'd still have a social life.

It wouldnt be the end of the world .... but it has its uses, like banking, shopping maps and all the other 'general' info that you google - it would be a sad loss though

OMG I'd have to find the library and post office and figure out how they work. And I'd have to get a copy of the yellow pages. And a phone.

I wouldn't be able to watch my money as closely as I do. I'd lose contact with my brothers (not that I hear very often from the little one.. git!!) I'd be lost without multi-map/AA routefinder and I'd have to go find some real friends to play with Sad
