I joined POF and tried to post on the forums. After having to read loads of rules and regulations and loads of dos and don'ts, I finally got to write something to introduce myself; I thought of something halfway funny and interesting and hit 'post' only to be told I couldn't post until I had registered for over 2 days. What was even more annoying was that I had registered for the site 3 days previously grrrrr.

Yep, the rules and regulations are something else on POF; you'd start a thread, then someone would bring up a similar one started about 2 years previously......and then tell you off for not checking!!
Had a few laughs on there to be fair, but after a while most of the posters you could have a laugh with ended up getting banned!

I have an account there, but don't use it at all.
I like it here, it's cosy, and I seem to get along with everyone.
Even when I get a bit wound up with the site playing up at times I still wouldn't go elsewhere, cos you all wouldn't be there, would ya?

i tried POF about a year ago and got a date out of it. When she turned up she had more metal in her face than a suspension bridge ( shudder)

i never went back again

This was the first Forum I'd ever used and didn't really know what it was all about being new to using the internet, but one day just decided that I wanted to say something.....and carried on ever since.

I think this is a really easy going Forum, and after trying others out including POF it's the only one where I haven't felt ignored, in fact it feels like a little community, that moves around the web. Just like when you go to the pub or the cinema you come across people you know, well it's a bit like that as you visit other social sites, there you come across people from here as well.
