......... all the other dating sites' forums are like this one?

I think that anyone (fresh meat! ) visiting this forum for the first time would think that we are all mad........

Actually, quite a few people have said that to me lately...........

i actually felt quite welcomed here as it goes, alot of 'other' sites they kind of look at your picture and maybe your first post, jump to conclussions and that's the end of it.

I don't think anyone here's mad btw... your all normal, like me

Everyone's mad, they're just too scared to express it. Can't say I'd ever want to check out the 'rivals' dating sites - could imagine them being a bit more... clinical. Eurgh.

The sort of reception someone gets from me is varied really, it isn't anything to do with someone's picture, but mainly where they post, and the content......
I am currently working on my 'people skills' in that dept. as now that I am a mod, I at least have to make an effort to make it look like I am trying to behave.

But seriously, I am just a little playful, and NEVER mean any harm to anyone............

Well the regulars here always seemed nice and welcome to new people when i joined.

Mind you the majority of that lot have gone (a few on board civil wars accounted for no end of casualties) (Scumbag trolls and emotional meltdowns took their toll too) and people after them have come and gone. This forum always has a turnover of people, some find someone, some get bored, some get upset and leave forever but there generally is someone waiting in the wings to make up the post count.

What makes this board refreshing for me is that its primarily British, rather than American. People have more in common, and because they are trying to impress people that it may actually be possible to meet they generally try to put the best foot forward.

In the last 3 years or so, I've been on a few of the dating site forums, some good, some bad; but one of the things I like about this one is that you don't seem to get the petty squabbling that goes on, it's a lot friendlier than most. Then again, I've only been on here for a month or so, so maybe I've missed it all!
It's always good to have more new members joining in, not enough of them do tho; the regulars might be mad, but they're not bad , so it shouldn't put them off!!
Forums always seem to be underused, but they're a better way of getting to know someone than the stuff they put on their profiles!

It must prove to be interesting reading on here anyway, just now their was 7 registered users and 81 guests!!!!!!!!!

I've tried different sites, not just dating ones, where there are open forums like this and this is the only one I ever come back to. Maybe it's because there aren't too many people. Forums where there are dozens of regulars just get too complicated to follow sometimes.

the worst thing about forums, is the way people take things, some things meant in jest are taken out of context and people get the arse about it.
