I have to say, I agree. Surely at my age I should be wise in text speak, but apparently not! It's irritatating! It might save characters but takes the reader three tries to work out what it says!!

funnily enough, i find it easy to read text language on a phone screen, but reading it on a computer screen seems to be more difficult, must be a mental thing

I hate text speak. I have to type everything the way it should be. Missing out letters or substituting numbers just gets me annoyed.

I hate text speak with a passion. Mainly because I can't understand it.
I remember being late for college once, and one of my friends took notes(so I didn't have to talk to our stupid teacher)..and she made all of these notes in text speak. It took me longer to translate it than to do the actual work!!!
