Hi all, just joined...

About once a year Lidl do a line of bicycle stuff. On the moring of the 'special' day there are usually several fluorescent yellow lycra clad helmet wearing folk cueing outside my local Lidl at 8am (me being one of them - minus the lycra).

Highly recommend their racer style gel bike seats - maybe cheap but damn... they're comfy.

Aldi do a mango smoothy juice - very glugable. Very Happy

Was bought one of their popcorn makers, which was an improvement on the one I had and which dwelt in a cupboard almost exclusively.

However the built in butter tray was rather disappointing as it makes you think it adds the flavour for you, whereas all it actually does is (half) melt it on the top of the popping chamber.

On the other hand it makes the popcorn faster and somehow more thoroughly popped than the old one. Very nice. Very Happy

I still love Lidl - I haven't been for a while, but I shall make an effort to go tomorrow. Because I love her (and the Belgian chocolate starfish )

I love the Lidl fake 'brands'

Cereal - Crownfield
Sweets - Mr Choco
Italian - Tratatoria Alfredo
Juice - SolaVita
Baked Beans - Camp Largo
etc, etc

It would amusing to see Ralf Schumacher's racing suit plastered with the Lidl range of logo's...with an extra long barcode down one sleeve.
