Just wondering..

My sister has just started doing stuff like that. My parents have gone mad at her, and I think they are over-reacting, as she is 21 in September.
Maybe it's different because they are her parents. The ones that raised her. I don't know.
Anyway, she has just appeared in the sunday sport or something like that..and the people.
The thing is, there was an article saying that she's a bi-sexual pornstar in her spare time..pretty sure she isn't! She would have told me if she is.

Apparently she's only doing all this to get her through Uni...I'm not so sure.

So...How would you feel if a family member(a sister/cousin/whatever) had started appearing in newspapers/magazines as a glamour model?

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum! I wasn't sure where to put it.

My when you say pornstar is that films or just pictures makes a big difference which would it be? Would want them to be safe at all times!!!she would'nt have escaped from her bedroom if my daughter till she was 25!!!

to be honest i would cringe if i came across a pic in a newspaper or similair but i say each to their own and let themn do what they feel is right as long as they are safe Smile

i think my reactions would be based on wether i was forewarned to the appearence in paper..that wouldnt be good..would be a shock.
but honestly..not sure..until it happens to you , who can say..

but she is 21..so whatever happens..its down to her..
depends on how the person respected others around them, ie told them, explained it..

Aapparently she's done something called 'skint students'..I don't know what it is, she has told the family is a documentary, but in the article in the newspapers she's appeared in said it's a porno?

Wouldn't bother me if it was anyone other than my daughters, I would hope that they would respect me enough to talk to me about such career choices.

And about the skint students thing she's supposed to have done, I can't comment on said title (Google know's nothing about it LOL) But there are various x-rated films out there that are based on the idea that the student has no dosh and so screws on film for moneh.

One of the articles...Lisa Knott is her..uhm..'alternative' name.

She also does a bit of modelling, like artistic nude stuff.

credit to her if shes got the looks to pull it off, but i wouldnt b happy knowing some1 in my family was doing that. i know its the individuals choice, but u worry about family members getting caught up in the nasty side of the business.

I'm ok with it, it's just my parents. They are also annoyed by the fact that she seems so proud of it.

I've given her my support. If she's happy doing that, then fair enough. My parents just can't seem to understand it.

its good that ur supporting her, but i can understand y ur parents r so upset about it. my mums really liberal, but if i did that shes disown me, i guess they just feel ashamed that their little girl is doing naughty things and lots of men r watching it. parents never stop seeing their children as babies, and no parent ever wants their child 2 end up doing somethinglike that, it must b hard. does ur sister show ur parents shes proud of it?

The only reason mum hasn't disowned her is because it's her and not me.

If I did something like that she'd never speak to me again.

im sure thats not true. i alwasy thought my mum hated me and worshiped my bro, but looking back it wasnt true. sorry to generalise, but its prob just normal teenage arguments with her that make u feel like that. thats what it was with me and my mum, we get on well now, but when i was younger i used 2 hate her.

im sure she loves u and ur sister equally, ur psob more in favour now as ur sisters doing this!!

Uh.......Yes. Of course.

She's paying for my sister to go to uni - yet she has told me i'd have to pay my own way through uni - if any would even let me in. (Her words, not mine)

It has always been like this. And as soon as I can afford it, i'm getting the hell out of this house. I'm sick of it. Even the rest of the family has noticed the favouritism. (And when they realised about it - They stopped giving all their attention to her.)

that does sound really hard, do u want 2 go 2 uni? make sure u get into a really good one and then dont do porn during it to get money (or if u do, dont tell ur parents), it'll take a long time, but it'll earn their respect. they'll lvoe u both the same, they just may think she does more, or maybe has achieved more? if that is the case it'll just b coz shes older. i cant really commen coz i dont know nthe full ins and outs, but the best thing u could do is just make sure u do everything in ur life really well and make them proud. sorry if it sounds liek im preacing!! its just i went through so much shit with my mum, but now we get on really well so i kind of feel i can help other ppl who have shit parental relationships.

My mum doesn't like me because I remind her......of herself.

They think my sister is perfect...well, they did until this lot came out.

I'm not planning on going to Uni anymore. My mum dinted that dream the day she said she wouldn't pay. She also dinted the dream when she said that 'any idiot can get distinctions in college' Uh..thanks for that, mother.

As I didn't go to school for the last 2 years(due to some personal issues) I say I did pretty well. I still managed to pass all the GCSE's I took.
And again..my mums word was 'well you're still not intelligent, now your sister on the other hand'.......

*screams*
