4 mobile phones and in the middle some corn....all phones are called at the same time and the corn becomes popcorn.

It is fake.

There are several versions of that video floating around ... it's done using a heating element under the surface.

You can do it with phones, but it would take much, much longer.

In theory, if you place the phone in a way that they generate a standing wave with a local maxima, then it could work...if the mobile phones are old....maybe I should try that out.

Older phones are better for doing it ... but it will still take an incredible amount of time ... the same goes for boiling an egg using phones ...

You can do it, but it'll be the most expensive boiled egg you've ever eaten.
