To be honest, I not complaining. I look at it this way - I'd rather have 14 visitors and have had messages from 12 of them than have 1000's of visitors and still only had 12 messages. Oooh, I'm being so practical tonight

Well, I just went to read your profile for the first time, and I think it's a wonderful insight into who and what you are, and you seem to have a lot to offer someone. I can't say whether hanging around a dating site is this way forward for you or not, but obviously there is no harm in keeping in trying, you never know what's around the corner! I sopent some time in London this time last year and know how difficult it could be to meet someone there (I was lucky, my girlfriend at the time was in London), so I suppose in some respects using a site like FB might be one of the only few realistic options.
As an afterthought, I see you're into photography - next weekend, instead of mooching around the forums, go to a photography exhibition somewhere in London - no harm in spreading yourself about a bit
Oh, and go on your own, don't take your mates with you, you're not going to meet someone with your mates tagging along, some women who are on their own find that a bit threatening.
