So just how good is your memory? Or should that be 'how bad is your memory'?
We have a marvellous capacity for remembering things, like names and numbers, things we did, routes to places, etc etc, but when did your memory really fail you, or when did it surprisingly drag up some essential piece of information just when you needed it most?

I find that I have an atrocious short-term memory generally, however if you ask me some random question about something obscure i'll often pull the correct answer out of the back of my head somehow.... Smile Confused

I actually have a great memory, both short and long term. I can always recall things that are said and done in the past, and can sometimes remember specific quotes. Now only if I could put my memory to use while taking exams... I tend to blank under pressure Confused

I can remember things that happened when I was a kid, but five minutes ago and I'm screwed. My short term memory is very bad. If I don't write something down, I will forget it.

I can remember home phone numbers from when I was a kid (obviously I was taught to memorise them) and I'm great with remember dates of when things happened - but I'm rubbish with knowing street names and often people's names too

I have an absolutely horrid memory for details (esp. names of people and things), but I can understand/visualize concepts and strategies very easily. It's the only thing that saved me from failing out of uni.

Hehe...know what you mean, I was a bit young for the 90s raves but my memory is fecked due to chronic weed smoking and tripping to much on mushrooms when I was a young teen. Wish I'd waited until my brain was fully grown as now I cant touch either of them without FREEKING out. Dont do drugs kids or you'll end up on an internet dating site when your 24 discussing how bad your memory is!
