I'm not feeling myself today (not in the mood)

I have a terrible pain in my side, a bit like when I had to be rushed to hospital when my appendix went beserk and decided to pop (well, it didn’t really pop, it just sort of quietly erupted over a period of a couple of days) and left me unconscious on the floor. If it wasn’t for the fact that afore-mentioned appendix was removed 3 years ago, I’d be really worried. Then again, if it was that bad, I’d go to A&E, but being a cantankerous old c**t, I don’t want to have to sit there for hours with all the drunks (yes, they are there in the middle of the afternoon too), so have opted for an early morning appointment with the GP, I suppose, hoping for a comforting and fatherly “dinna fret lad, it’s jus’ auld age” (actually he is Asian, but I thought it would be interesting to give him a Scottish accent, just to see what he sounded like).

Tired, snotty, poorly. Stomache hurts (some gastric thing) and fractious.

Want me mummy (well actually I don't, but the phrase sums up how I feel nicely).
