Esham Pickering a lad who I know from my town (used to live up the road from me) is boxing against brendan dunne on Nov 11th so a few of us are coming across to give him support & to go & have a 'craick' around dublin..I've never been across but I've heard good reports from people that have been..any suggestions for bars, pubs & clubs to go drinking in would be appreciated. ps. is the guinness as good as everyone says, i hope so Razz .. thanks. Very Happy

Why not try all the youth hostels that are in Dublin?? Just google Dublin youth hostels. Heres a couple that ive stayed in

Ive stayed in them every time (apart from once) that I have been there. Really cheap and u get ur brekkie in the morning for something like £17 a night or there abouts.....I wouldnt look past them now for when i go again (unless of course someone else is paying Laughing Laughing)

Thanks Cazz for bringing the hostel thing to my attention, never think of stopping in those even though I've stopped in a few..Doh! mind you the dorm I stopped in helsinki wasn't the best & one bloke was snoring so loud (really it sounded like a plane taking off!!) some lad out of another bunk got out his bed & hit him with a pillow!! lol he cleared the dorm by 7 in the morning cos everyone was pissed off with him snoring that they couldn't sleep, so I suppose my mind doesn't immediately throw that idea to the fore, on the flip side got chatting to a bloke who was from england who was a photographer travelling around N.E. europe, he tagged along with us for a night out as he was on his own, he was best mates with Jonny Lee Miller (sickboy) who was married to Angelina jolie (not that famous at the time), he had photos of their wedding which was really weird to look at knowing she is with brad now & told us a few quips & stories, they still keep in touch (jonny & angelina) he was a sound lad as well & had some amazing photo's of tutankhamun. So I guess I'll give the hostels in Dublin a try Surprised

And from around £9 per person per night in Cork. Thanks for this Cazzabee. May come in handy for me too Wink

Good thing about these hostels is u can get private ensuite rooms (sleeps maybe 3 to 5). Have never done the dorm thing i must admit. Dont know if i could.
