Seems to me an awful lot of people delete their profile and then come back quite soon afterwards. How many times have you deleted your profile? Why did you delete your profile? What made you come back again?

From what I can see, one of the most common reasons for deleting a profile on fb is that an fb date didn't work out and one (or both) of the people deleted their profile.

I deleted my first profile (darkhorse57) cos I didn't see anything happening for me here. Darkhorse58 got deleted once, but I signed up with the same user name again because I didn't want anyone else to register with the name and shit stir on the forums. My alter ego BamBamFlintstone is still alive and well, but I suppose I should really delete him, he serves no purpose other than an archive of my real profile and so that no-one else uses that user name.

I first joined FB in 2003..it was very different back then..

I met a great guy who became my best friend, no romance just very good friends, he tragically died in May 2006 and I then chose to delete my profile..

Rejoined in November 2006, and so far its been fun

Signed up, never left. Although I only signed up for a bit of fun, and then didn't use the site for about 18 months, before I finally decided that it might actaully be worth it.

I deleted my first user name as a spur of the moment thing, although I was never really happy with it as I spelt it wrong.

This one is only temporary by the way

I deleted my previous account as alot of things needed my attention in my life at the time and i felt this was too much of a distraction to me as being out of work at the time i tended to be coming on here instead of looking for a job
so i deleted it. once i got things sorted out i came back.

Yes really, i know its a dating site and if i didnt lurve you all on the forums i probably would its just people being mean tho and sticking their nose where its not wanted.

I do think people should either delete or amend their profile if they're fixed up though. At the very least they should stick something in their scrolling text. Either that or create a 'TAKEN' tag. Anything to stop potential embarrassment and timewasting anyway.
