What did you want to be when you were younger a racing car driver,footballer,vet,doctor,nurse etc? I expect Megs wanted to be ill so he could see those nurses and matrons in their uniforms!

I wanted to be a Samurai. I even did kendo when i was a kid. I still carry the precepts of Bushido with me.

i wanted to be a pilot in the RAF.. and kinda ruined my chances in life when i found out i couldn't be..

Well, my dad tells me when I was a nipper I told him "When I grow up I want to be a.......lion".....I was about 4 yrs old.

And my mother reminds me often that I said to her "When I grow up I want to be A Nothing like you"........not sure what that meant, perhaps cuz she didn't work outside of the home?!

But I do recall as a young teen (11/12 ish) wanting to be a poet.

None of the above happened.

I wanted to be an artist, teacher or almoner (bit like a social worker)......

in a way, my eventual career as an Art Therapist was related to all three of these but more appropriate. I used to teach Art in evening classes and do lectures in Uni s occasionally so was never far off course really.

I wanted to be an archaelogist and now I want to be a speech therapist when I grow up xx

I wanted to be a zoologist from the age of 4, made the mistake of experimenting with drugs as a teenager and now I check stock for an oil company ....I wonder what percentage of people actually go on to do the career they dreamed about as a kid?

I wanted to be a vet til I found out how much science I needed to know. So my next choice was a chef... I did make it to commis chef and am still in catering... nearly got there

When I was younger I wanted to be a Footballer I had trials with Southampton,Swindon,Bristol Rovers And Leeds United.But I did my knee in playing for Leeds and my career was cut short.

I wanted to be a vet or an Egyptologist!

I wanted to be a vet AND i still do

I'd love to be a vet,work in a dog's home or summat like that, but I think it would kill me, I'd end up with 500 dogs cos I would never put one down unless it was absolutely necessary.......
