Home >> Anything else >> GIRLS DO YOU LIKE METROSEXUAL MEN OR NOT AND WHY?
27.03.2011, 20:20 quote
A man who cares about his personl appearence and takes pride in the way he looks?
Good clothing, plucked eyebrows, groomed hair, nice shoes, waxed chest, uses moisturizers, fashionable.Do you find that attractive why or why not?
Many girls say those type of guys turn them off but Beckham,Brad Pitt and Ronaldo are examples of metrosexual men and are very popular amongst the ladies.
Explain you're answer to get a better understanding on what type of females prefer the metrosexual man and which do not.I like taking care of the way I look and Im very stylish but im not very goodlooking.
27.03.2011, 21:00 quote
I like it when people take care of themselves, but I for one prefer men without plucked eyebrows and who don't use moisturizers in front of me.
I think it's an internal thing for me. I like men with strong facial features and a strong touch. That and... I'm quite boyish myself (even if some say I'm not). Considering that I should probably feel attracted to men who have a softer side, but I'm not. I'm attracted to the likes of me, not the opposites.
It's all complicated anyway.
However if Jude Law is a metrosexual, I'd give him a go. LOL
Maybe even more. LOL And I'd defo give some of the folks in Westlife a go... Maybe in the end it is a question of looks as well... Like the thing with the good guy and the bad guy. Good guys don't finish last, they're just not THAT GOOD. LOL Never heard of a chick turning down a Westlife coz he's too nice.
28.03.2011, 00:30 quote
I think its a very individual choice. Im fairly undecided & it does depend on how far the guys take all this male grooming. My best friend is a gay guy & I drink in a gay bar, I have never seen so many fake tans & plucked eyebrows in one room...lol. Thing is it doesnt bother me on a gay guy....I love it....but on a straight guy its a lil different. Dont ask me why but to me it is....
A lil bit of male grooming is good, shows they take pride in their appearance but as soon as they take longer than me to get ready then its a no no.....
28.03.2011, 09:07 quote
If they can afford more than 1 bathroom, then they can do as they please in their own bathroom.
Take my bathroom space or time and well there will be trouble. Simple
I dont in all seriousness understand how plucked eyebrows reflect on their character or personality though. It's all well and good looking amazing in pictures, if they are, well horrible and you end up burning all the pictures anyway..
28.03.2011, 15:33 quote
I have 5 stepsisters and only only is in the U.S Army and he takes 15 seconds to shower and get ready it seems. Now my other Stepsister have married men who seem to take just a little less time than me and thier wifes and all of us are high mantience as my Sister who out of all of us step sisters is the only one who deosn't take forever.
Back to the guys:
they take about 15 minutes longer than my own sister and they don't pluck there eyebrows thank gowd but they do wear cologhn wich theier all aware I am allergic to so they don't dare come near me with it on they know all hell will break loose if they do.
But they do primp just as bad as we do in my family.

Mertosexual just means VAIN
In the 90s we had "The New Man" this was someone who not only helped with the cleaning and childminding but also cooked etc, would you believe it eh!
Now from what i can see all the young guys have become really FEMINISED.....From having girly hair to wearing camp clothing and trying to look like male wags...."Thats my personal opinion" But unless your a gay dude or camp and girly then you shouldnt be plucking eyebrows.Getting rid of excessive body hair is ok an example of this is trimming down below to tame the forest,I worked with a guy and he started shaving down stairs because his girlfriend wanted him to and by all accounts she was also smooth like most young people today....Its ok for a guy to have a little bit of femininity but when he starts plucking eyebrows etc some questions need to be asked me thinx....

That's not metro sexual, that's called taking care of yourself. Not too sure on the waxed chest part mind you...?
But then who in their right mind would go out looking scruffy, on purpose ?
By go out, i mean like out to a bar / club etc, i'm sure we've all dosed down to b&q in a pair of jeans with paint on the legs etc.

If there really is to be a soul mate out there, I think your soul mates are those people who make you feel at home, wherever you are. That hearing their voices and knowing they're close to you (even if in thought) makes you feel at ease. |

What sort of questions?
"why are you plucking your eyebrows"?
"who gave you permission to pluck your own eyebrows"?
Or perhaps you wanted to ask "how can I get my eyebrows to look as good as yours"?

Completely disagree with this statement!
Why does a man taking care of his appearance mean he is vain? so when a woman straightens her hair, puts on some lippy, has a wax... does this mean shes vain???
I think all women want a guy that takes care in how he looks, we want a guy that dresses nice, has nice hair, keeps in shape... its all things that attracts us to a man and no matter what people say looks ARE important, theres no way Im going to get all excited over some guy that looks like a tramp!
As for he plucking of eyebrows.. dont see whats wrong tbh, some mens are out of control so why shouldnt they have a lil tidy up? As long as they aint thinner than mine and too arched then I don care!
Moisturiser.... ALL MEN should use it! Nothing gay in it at all! Mens skin goes through way more than ours do, just think about all that shaving you do, its really putting your skin through it. Yes your skin is generally alot stronger than females BUT you need to take care of it. Keep it hydrated so it looks and feels so much fresher and the results will be that you wont age as quick! and plus if you use one with a spf in it will protect your skin from the harmful sun rays. Im trained in this industry so I know the benefits.
Fake tan... Im not object to a man using a lil bit as long as they aint as orange as me is fine! Everyone looks better with a lil bit of colour, to me thats a fact! I know that when my Dan has a bi of colour im like pwwwwoooar FIT!
End of the day WE put in alot of effort to look nice for you then why shouldnt a man do the same? As long as he aint a complete replica of the men from TOWIE then we cool! Plus a man will never EVER take longer than me to get ready so they can take as long as they want cos it means they wont be moaning at me!!!
Lastly.. its the man underneath it all that matters, if hes a munter and aint got the personality then all the work in the world aint going to attract a decent woman!!!

Plucking eyebrows!
One question needs to be asked:
If I pluck my eyebrows to prevent the monobrow - am I a raving metrosexual?

When a guy gets out the straighteners and plucks his eyeborws i dont think its a manly thing to do but im from a different generation to you and have different ideas what i think is right and wrong. As for plucking eyebrows to get rid of stray hairs theres absolutely nothing wrong with that at all, when i go to the barbers i get him to shave my brows and i get rid of the odd stray ones but im sure the poster was actually talking about plucking into shape which is wrong for guys to do ( my opinion thats all )As for talking about not fancying a tramp i think you over exagerated there, because lets face it how many people fancy tramps unless theres a new obsession of which i havnt heard about like TRAMPOPHILIA lmao......Dictionary termonology of TRAMPOPHILIA...n Someone who has a sexual attraction to a down and out of the opposite love and who probably stinks of pish...HMMmmmm! |
29.03.2011, 19:08 quote
Not really a fan a of metrosexual men, which is probably why I'm not attracted to any the men the OP mentioned.
Personally I find it a turn off if a man spends more time on their appearance than I do. I like men to have a rough edge and rawness about them and to me that is not a man who waxes, cleanses, tones, moisturises, plucks and uses hair straighteners. But its definitely a personal choice.
