I used to be a cynic, I still believed that there was a possibility of ghosts but as I had never witnesssed any thing I still had my doubts.

I went on an over-night haunting last year which changed my perspective things happened which i could not logically explain Confused

Ive never seen a ghost, not sure how i would react if i did. My girlfriend is very much into investigating the paranormal, I try to keep an open mind about it.

Yep, seen a few ghosts in my life, but as far as presences and spirits go, they are just a part of my everyday life...... in other words to me NORMAL.

I used to work in a place (previously a church) that people thought there was a ghost in it, so they got a local Vicar to deconsecrate it and exorcise the 'GHOST' but it was funny cos after that the 'spirit' would still communicate with my colleague regularly and a few patients were still reporting to us about the man at the front end of the building.

Not "deconsecrate", surely?! That would mean to Un-bless....... Razz

To be honest, it sounds as if the vicar did not believe said 'ghost' existed, and just went through the motions, which would make no difference to the situation of course.

But I know you know that Myriad! Very Happy

I've been on a pagan/spiritual path since I was small, though have turned into more of an agnostic pagan now, these days I guess I'm just a lover of the earth and it's mysteries. I did the ouiji board when I was younger, mhmm would never again, you let a spirit in but then you are stuck with it. Well, I was told I would marry someone called Griffin lol and my friend got a really frightening guy that came through said some freaky shit!

Got me wondering there for a while, but yeah it was to 'deconsecrate' because it had been a church and so someone felt it's change of use should be 'officially' recognised.

As for the exorcism, the Vicar may not have been the best person to go through the motions, but to me it was clearer 'cos the so called 'ghost' was not an earthbound entity but an evolved spirit who had chosen to return for a purpose that at that point had not been completed.
We used to call him Christos with his approval, and whenever we moved buildings he moved with us and it was only after we (meaning the deparment I worked in) moved from an institution to a community setting that I stopped feeling his presence and people stopped seeing him.
I guess his work was done then.

Since I beleieve in the human spirit I feel it's more than possible for a person to leave some trace of themselves on this plain.

Not really wishing to go all through my belief system but surfice to say I feel sciene is a tool to translate things that would therwise be hard to figure out.
The supernaturel is part of this and I think in certain places on the planet there are energy fields where paranormal happenings are more likely to take place.

However belief is personal and I hope you understand I respect everyones free expression

My dad used to do automatic writing, which is where you channel the energy of a spirit through a pen. he didn't do it much but to watch it was quite fascinating.

where i live is built upon an old airport, used in both world wars, many people around here have said to have seen and heard pilots, soldiers and even a phantom motorcycle rider in military uniform...i haven't seen any myself yet though Confused

I don't believe in ghosts - but I AM open minded about them, if that makes sense?

A lot of my stuff gets moved when nobody else is in the house.

An example?
I put my lighter on top of my ciggies while I was having a fag, and when I walked back through the back door..the lighter was gone. And all of my fags. Confused
