Hi Saints

Italian food is one of my faves and I'm pretty damned good at cooking it too if i may say so I first got my love of it working as a commis chef in a rather upmarket Italian restaraunt in my teens, then went on to marry one of the waiters and learnt even more.

I can make pasta from scratch, doing it in the traditional way, with my fingers on a flat work surface as well as all manner of delights

('Scuse the boasting folks, I'm not good at much so like to make the most of what I can Wink )

I love all foods and have taught my son to be the same way..But my favorite has to be mexican..I make a mean casserole dish made (my own recipe btw) with with chicken, turkey or pork, flour tortillas, cheddar and monterey jack, milk, cream of mushroom soup, and lots of green chilis....layered each item in dish and put in oven....friends thot it was so good that she was a cook for a citibank employee dining room that she took the recipe there and always got eatened first...good thing about this is u can eat it cold also. my other favorite is and Italian dish called Easter pie or Sausage pie, very expensive to make but soooooo goood

It is spelt right and, yeah, love all that too. Indian, Mexican, anything European, S. American... there's very little I don't eat or won't try. When you look at the basic foods of most nationalities, it's the same stuff cooked different ways.

I love to experiment with food. I have some beef mince in my fridge for tea, and there are so many different things I could do with it, I don't know what to do with it!! lol

I love most food, but unlike aradon, I'm not big on steak.

I love:

a fresh salad with a home-made dressing, with fresh lime and lemon juice.

grilled, oily fish.

home-made Shepherd's Pie, with mature cheddar and chive mash.

home-made chicken tandoori jaipuri curry, with green beans, mushrooms and chick peas.

crispy-grilled bacon sarnies, with HP Sauce and HP Fruity Sauce.

home-made chicken and mushroom risotto, using real stock from a roast organic chook.

my honey-laced, hot veggie chilli.

my home-made humous, with a hint of caramelised onion and tomato chutney

The list goes on and on . . .
