I am planning to fix the remaining issues on
http://www.flirtbox.net and relaunch it
in about 1-2 weeks...

After that I want to try and relaunch the main website again. The main website will take a little bit longer as I am going to make some changes as far as the layout is concerned (more like the original website), whereas on flirtbox.net it will rather be a matter of fixing bugs...

If you want to contribute, let me know and I will activate the new design for flirtbox.net for your account (i.e. you must be logged in to see the new design).

I am looking for:

- browser-related bugs (e.g. things look weird/broken)
- website related bugs
- general ideas/suggestions

The colours are more or less set - there might be additional "themes" to choose later on, though.

The important thing is, that you find the new design at least at easy-to-navigate as the old one - ideally even better. It is a bit hard to be objective as we are all used to the old design.

I think the new design is easier to navigate as you always see the latest/most popular topics on every page...

Your help is highly appreciated...and I need your input to avoid that everyone is unhappy afterwards and moaning about the new design

There is a tool called Firebug for Firefox - with this tool you can play around with the font size and change the css values...I know some people were moaning at the font sizes...so I'm interested to see what font sizes you would prefer instead.

Cheers!

I'll just be happy if it's a nice 'clean' look and usable - the clicky buttons need to be big enough to change pages without having to be pinpoint accurate with your pointer is one thing I'd like to see sorted, and that hideous effect I had when trying to use 'new' flirtbox which put a load of unnecessary dotted lines and different coloured bars across the page (I dont get that happen on any other site!)

Should I switch your account to the new design for flirtbox.net?

Yeah, lovely. Now I just need to get
this posting box uncovered on the
right side. Can anyone help with
this? My mozilla is set to use fonts
that the web pages choose
automatically....but maybe
I'm doing sommat wrong Confused Any
suggestions, more than welcome.

I'm finding it a pain, not being
able to go, automatically to the most
recent page of thread. Tis a minor
thing, I know.

Can you make a screenshot?

I am going to add this in the top menu.....the forums and maybe the last threads, too.

I could change the sort order and display the latest posts first ?

This is what Kizz is talking about as I have the same problem...I cannot see what I am typing in the right hand side of the box. Also cannot see the full picture in the post

1. Would it be possible to have (like in the old site) the name of the last poster listed on the actual thread. Makes it easier to navigate.

2. I cannot "move" threads on the new site.

I will think of more and come back to this

Changing the sort order sounds good....
So that the more recent posts
come up first and as Cazza said, it
would be good to see the name of
the last poster too.

Thanks Cazza, for doing the screen
shot. That is exactly what mine is
like. Its very frustrating not being
able to see the whole box (hence my
squashed posts)

Interesting.....I think my screen is too big
I will try and fix that today.

Things I have changed so far:

- changing the font from light-blue to a darker blue for better readability

- (hopefully) fixed the table problem in IE6 for those people who can not upgrade to IE7.

I anyone wants to help with some CSS issues, let me know

Now you have moved the box to the left, when I post I cannot see the review topic box below, it has cut it off showing only the names of the previous posters, it was better as it was before, my message box was showing fully using IE7.
