Since a few of you showed an interest in the ferret saga last night, here’s the final episode…..

Pebbles was so worked up that the ferret was in the flat that I had to make a nest for it on the landing, but its mewling (do they mewl?) was so distressing that I brought it back in and put it back in the sock drawer. To my surprise, this morning when I woke up Pebbles and the ferret were playing together (aaaaah).

If I’d had the money to buy a cage and whatnot for the ferret, I think I’d have kept it, not that I know much about keeping ferrets Smile Just to show how much I don’t know about ferrets, last night I assume that they were the size of a rat, and that the one I’d found must be pregnant, cos it was so big (so I thought). As it happens, when the RSPCA guy came this morning to fetch it, he told me is was very young. I do know that ferrets like dog food though Smile Or is that only when they’re hungry?

Anyway, the ferret has gone, and now I wish I’d just kept it; it seemed quite at home here exploring the top of my desk and inside of my fleece top, and the sock drawer looks a bit empty now (I suppose I could put the socks back in it.......)

Nah, I can't afford all the bits and pieces that you need to keep a ferret (I've got no work coming in at the moment), otherwise I'd probably have just kept this one and told the guy that came to collect it that it had diappeared during the night. They're certainly very friendly creatures. I had a great time with it last night, it seems they're a lot like dogs in some ways, eager to please and play. This morning it was following me and Pebbles everywhere.

I had a quick look at cage prices on the internet last night, but they're not cheap. I'd have to prostitute myself on the docks for days on end to make enough money to buy one (the going rate for 50 year olds at the dock gates in Plymouth is currently £5 a pop)

I didn't take any photos, I keep forgetting I have a camera on my phone (my 'real' camera broke on an excursion in London - I blame Curraghmore for that, her tight jeans were very distracting )

Well, it wasn't exactly a tame mouse, so I put it out in the backyard. (It ate my stamps and a corner of my old passport)
