failed giving up smoking.. lasted 22 hours without one though, so i'm gonna do it !

it was a case of.. i either had a smoke and chilled out, or my supervisor would have been in a body bag.

He's one of those people that when ya tell him you're having a shitty day he goes out of his way to make it just that bit worse ! my back is killing me at the moment, but atleast that bloody headache has gone

i'm actually pretty pissed at myself for letting a moron like him get to me

22 hours without one is definately good going though mate, you've proven that you CAN go without one. Maybe attempt to quit when you're in a less-stressful enviornment? like say, if you take 2 weeks off work for a holiday sometime in the near future..try quitting then?

ive stopped smokin for 35days (longest ive quit since i started smokin) not even a toke! and its all will power, no gums or patches.. ive put on a stone tho, cause im eatin like a monster.. what helps is that i always walk around with mandarins lol even when im indoors to kill the hand to mouth habit.. and its only hard the first couple weeks, after that the smell becomes repulsive and ur sense of smell becomes so sensitive and u start gettin used to smells again.. ur clothes smell fresher, ur face starts to look healthy, people notice the changes and tell u, u get used to havin a smug countenance when people commend u and subsequently tells u it shows lol its fun!

(ha i can see smokers reading this thinkin "BASTARD" lol)

Gonna start again tomorrow morning. Today has been a complete f'in joke, i'm sure this evening will be just as bad, so i'm gonna start fresh in the morning. Got a box of the little lozenge thingies, being as my will power took a hammering trying to quit without them - they are only going to be a last resort though. I'm gonna do this and if my supervisor pisses me off on monday.. well, we'll see what happens as i don't see why i should still be pissed off with myself because of that c***

s6boystu...I have a small suggestion-might work?!?! If your supervisor pisses you off again on Monday, then you can light up the cigarette, and rather than smoking it, put it out on your supervisor...that way you've killed two birds with one stone...you've got revenge on your supervisor, and gotten rid of the cigarette in the process...just one suggestion though!!!

If he pisses me off monday, i'm gonna level the twat. I've had enough of his bullshit the last 2 years !

well i'm still smoke free - however, my gp isn't impressed and want's me to go hospital.. aparently the headache, chestpain etc should have gone by now.. he wants me to go have blood tests and x-rays and stuff. oh and he had a shit fit when i told him about my 'diet'

I gave up smoking in 1998, I stopped with no help just went pure cold turkey, since then I have smoked the odd joint or bong but can take it or leave it. Cigarettes are a waste of money and your life.

Maybe your headache is due to a sudden drop in blood pressure, since smoking usually raises it.

maybe!! I have no intension of going to the hospital for neither x-ray or blood tests anyway.
