good grief sue, I am shocked, but not altogether surprised. The internet is full of weirdos, chimps and chumps. And nasty pathetic people.
You most certainly do NOT deserve those comments.
On the flip side, my mum is 71 and she had her photo 'bought' by some young girl in canada who then wrote to her (21 yrs old) and told my mum she is in love with her. They are penpals now cuz my mum felt sorry for her!

Oh that's sweet your mum making a pen friend that way.

Obviously the young facebook girls are still immature so I guess that's why they get abusive, but it does make you wonder how some of these comments could affect those people who are already on the web feeling lonely and emotionally fragile and use the 'social sites' in the hope of making new friends/relationships and playing some silly games.

I actually know most of the people I OWN, so the girlies would be even more annoyed if they knew THAT! I usually buy the 'random strangers' as human gifts.

Good on you Sue Laughing

Personally, have your fun and whatnot, but I find it distasteful. People's photographs, to me, are always a very personal thing. You choose to share them because they hold a moment of your life in them. That's why I never take a wasted one.

The internet becomes a very weird domain when it comes to photos.

and titwhipper, go on then!

I wish I had more photos, well, actually, I wish I had ANY photos from the last 20 years of my life.
I lost all of mine in the great disaster of 1995 (if you get what I mean).
There weren't that many, but the ones I did have were very special and irreplacable.
I don't think that I will ever get them back either.

If I had one wish right now, it would be to have those.......bugger! Sad

I think I understand where you're coming from and I must say I am quite selective as to what I put on my sites and rarely show other people 'cos unless I knew that they wanted to be 'posted' and visible, I wouldn't use their pictures out of respect for them.

How is your picture floating around on OWNED then shirazkhan? Confused I thought you had the choice and control of your own pictures. I'm only in places where I'm happy to be.
As for OWNED

It seems like loads of people are having their pics on owned whether they like it or not. So if it works like that, maybe I am in places I don't really want to be as well.......just one of those things that if you want to be on the facebook and not be totally private then you have to put up with.
