maybe some people get bored of the same old topics and opinions. how many times we had new topics about not getting any replies so far this year? i know that does my head in. but people probably got other issues as well, more personal so they might need a break.
people come and people go on here, some will be back some wont, thats the way it works sadly.

i hope they all come back but its their choice.

I agree with Scottie, quite a few people dip in and out when they need to. Obviously all these peeps who have disappeared have a more interesting life than we do!!

For the usual reasons I’m sure. Some are bored, some are pissed off that they are not getting messages or simply because they set out to achieve what they came here for.

Am sure one or two them will be back, ..and new people will begin to use the forums over time.

I know I'm being contraversial saying this cheekymunkey, but you do need to look at why and how some people have left.
I've been around a while and noticed that sometimes the Long Stayers occasionally forget that new members have the right to say and do stuff they don't necessarily agree with, and leave when someone offends their sensabilities.
I've seen newbies try to start summat new and get jumped on for having the audacity, or totally ignored, and I myself have said stuff on here that has been completely ignored or someone got stroppy just cuz they didnt agree, leaving me feeling that this is not the place to be anything other than very very superficial - if you post what color your knickers are, no one's going to be offended, but it leaves me feeling like that few minutes of my time would have been better spent doing the ironing.
On the other hand, of course sometimes people leave as someone else said, real life gets in the way, they've accomplished what they set out to do here, or they simply are no longer getting out of it what they had hoped for.
(ducking quick now).

No need to Duck Clempol .. i agree people leave when they meet someone etc ... The way you come across though regarding Newbies starting new threads, and the ''Longstayers'' jumping on them, ignoring them or becoming stroppy because of it, I really have to disagree with you there.

I for one like when a new thread is started and everyone can give their tuppenceworth, infact i think it gives other people more of an insight of who you are and what your views are on various issues, theres obviously going to be times when someone whether a Newbie or ''Longstayer'' posts a new thread and doesnt get any replies, its not ignoring, its just people dont have any views on the matter.

One or two 'popular regulars' have left here in a childish strop, but that's by the by.
I've left before for various reasons and come back when it suited me, so let's hope others do to, cuz I miss them all that's gone.
It's funny how you can get to know and like someone who's just the written word on your computer screen, isn't it? And I've 'become friends' with several people off here (m and f) and even in real life, which is lovely

I understand that ppl get a bit pissed off with things on here sometimes or even have others things going on in there lives, but like other peeps have said most of them always come back, so dont see why they have to leave altogether, i said last week that i wouldn't be spending so much time on here for my own reasons, and i haven't, but i still enjoy coming on here for a laugh etc. At the end of the day we are all adults, discussing adult things, well apart from Jimbo of course So come on you lot get your arses back on here and have a giggle .................

I reckon everyone is looking at the credit cards bills after Christmas still, pacing up and down and screaming rhetorically at the tax man. He comes along and takes all you're money and you dont even get the chance to give him abuse or throw him a dirty look, wheres the sense in that
