I hereby vow if I ever get bored enough to feel the need to start a discussion about english breakfasts on a web forum with virtual strangers on the internet, I shall seriously consider killing myself.

Oh, and to stay on thread, I'm quite partial to fried bread...now where's those paracetamols?

For a moment there, I thought you were going to say "Salad cream is very yummy on porridge".

I once made a kind of alcohol which involved steeping porridge oats in whisky in a dark cupboard for 4 months. Then I was supposed to strain the oats out and voila have me some hooch. Unfortunately I was a bit distracted and poured the liquid down the kitchen sink so we had whisky porridge oats for (late night) breakfast for a wee while. Laughing

I don't get it. Why foul up whiskey with oats? And vice versa?

We were making a whiskey of sorts, rather I should have said. It involved using oats. We were supposed to throw the oats and keep the hooch...must admit the oats were rather lush.
