Hm....2 have voted for no...so there must be a catch.

You need to learn some Spanish...

... and you probably need to have girlfriend before you go there otherwise it might get boring.

i would emigrate there yes... if i had loads of money

as you have indicated the earning is not great..... 130 quid a month for a butler.... wow.

so you'd need to be at retirement age really and have a nice little nest egg.

i emigrated to spain 5 years back, i know thats not the same as the carribean but at least i learnt spanish haha.
Anyway, now I'm back in the uk because you realise grass is not greener on the other side. Over time I've travelled a lot and lived many places. I had a great time away but there are always things you miss. You get to the point where you even miss rain, no joke! Many times recent i've just gone out and stood in the uk rain, how sad....
well you also miss stuff like decent shops and choice. I know we generally find faults here but I now believe its no better anywhere, just different.
I voted no Very Happy

ps, i live by the sea too, so trying to get the right balance Cool

I'd need a good job, decent beer and british food flown in (after a couple of months away you get some strange yearning - and try explaining Yorkshire pudding to a non-english person...)

Oh and a decent internet connection...

If I was a beer drinker I would say: What are you doing in the UK if you want decent beer? but i cant judge it ..to me all beer tastes the same...

but from a neutral point of view i would say competition ensures quality:

Quote:
With just a little less than 700 breweries, Bavaria has the greatest density of breweries in the world, which also means that 44% of all breweries in the European Union are situated in the Free State. The quality and the reputation of Bavarian beer are above all due to the centuries of tradition involved in the industry. During this time a large number of very different recipes have developed leading to a variety of beers that is unique. Bavaria is also the birthplace of Weizenbier or wheat beer as well as the location of the world’s largest Weizenbier brewery. Because of this long tradition and variety of types, Bavarian beer enjoys the highest respect from beer drinkers everywhere.
