The only way to bring me on one of these shows would be to instil a bottle of Vodka in me with a funnel.

I reckon that is how they get people on these shows.

I guess with that amount of alcohol I don't think I would bother about washing my hair anymore...

oh ye, they are defently on something, Rolling Eyes thats for sure! but if i was getting my 15mins of fame, i think i might wear my best pair of jeans and top. the best ones are when somebody see's their 'dead beat boyfriends' on the show doing a paternity test for some other girlfriends child. Then, they obliged to go on the show to emotionally bash up the guy, and the saga goes on for months. Oh, God, i need a job UT

Well I am glad that I had enough minutes of fame already (IsEspeciallyGladThatSheDoesn'tNeedToShowUpInATalksShow) and by the way as a talkshow host. The topic was "Transgender - living between the sexes"

Was a fun project in university, still can't believe that we have been able to sell it to the broadcaster...

I would imagine that is a rather serious topic, worthy of not being laughed at on some rubbish titillating 'talkshow' such as the aforementioned.

Alice,

nobody made fun out of the topic "transgender" and I can tell you that the research we did on that for the show at the time was extensive (so if somebody has a question about it, I might have some helpful infos)

The thing we made fun of was the "talk show" itself because - sorry if I offend someone - but they are all rubbish - its cheap to produce and that is why it is on Telly!

Me being such a not-talk-show-lover I thought it is a fun fact that I was once a talk show host myself, even if only once...

But in this thread we never discussed "Transgender" or close to it!!!

Ah mimib, my intention was not to have a go at you, I promise!
Perhaps I should have put a question mark, or a smiley emoticon in there.
I was really asking you in all seriousness was it as interesting to research as it sounds, and pointing out that it was me who was not making fun of the topic, because I too believe the likes of jeremy kyle, springer etc. are a farce and not worthy of being on the television, what little I have seen of them.
I've seen in the past some shows are around this transgender issue (a woman goes on the show just to tell her boyfriend she used to be a man) and the whole thing turns into a circus, and that makes me cross.
But I didnt want to hijack this thread, so I do apologise if you thought I was being rude to you. Crying or Very sad

It is a very interesting topic as people tend to mix that up with what they see on shows or with gays.

When I was quite young I had an "admirer" he was a transsexual, much older than me. So he was at the time a man, but felt as a woman. He considered himself as a lesbian. I think that makes pretty clear how complicate that topic is. Today he is a woman, but sadly he doesn't seem to be very happy either...

And Alice - sorry if I got your comment wrong - can't wait to meet you in real life on Tuesday

Jeremy Kyle is sickening. He doesn't help anyone, he just shouts at people a lot and makes them feel shit. Negative thoughts and attitudes surely cannot result in a positive outcome?
