not sure if this counts as DIY but today I rerouted the cables for my computers surround sound speakers so they are all hidden away nicely now.

I do all my own decorating always have always will, brilliant at wallpapering, here my bedroom, not a great pic I know...

thats excellent.. once u can do the wallpapering u can tackle anything.. it can be so tricky matching it up. go on eda put it up i'd love to see it i'm sure your little birdie was thrilled
