Re: magnolia, most of the house is caked in the stuff. I was hoping for backup in a move to get something different splashed on. My room's staying in it's retro colouring though

i know who would have thought my litle ramblings about decorating would lead to this! wowee.. ok so barley yellow... ok what about painting 3 walls barley yellow and papering one with a nice modern paper (that matches)?? thats if theres 4 walls obviously this can be done in other ratios too

Hope you don't mind me crashing your thread Loveleelady..but just thought I would show you the handy work of my 18 year old daughter..and quite proud of her I am too..(even if I do admit to dreading what she would do with the spare bedroom) but a few days later she turned a small box room into a walk-in-wardrobe..and yes the sex in the city movie as a lot to answer to Very Happy

sounds good, I'd quite like a bit of a meadow theme going on as I love meadows. Wow this has woken me up! What colour for the ceiling?

umm eda i would say as the ceiling isn't the feature.. its the papered wall (always pick your best wall for this) then just keep the ceiling neutral ie your old enemy Mr Magnolia or a simple cream if you can't bear the mag
