Lately if I've had a bad day at work (which of late is most days) I just look at a picture of my grandson and everything never seems so bad Embarassed

My home is my sanctuary, so when i've had an awful day at school as soon as i get in the car and out of the car park i already feel better. Then i just close my door on the world and chill.

Depending on what has caused the 'bad' day and the definition of 'bad' according to the person who began the thread. But, most people here have equated it with 'feeling low' so....so shall I.
I fill a flask, make some sarnies, grab a good book and some stale bread and a camera and head for my local churchyard where there is a pond with ducks and swans....or do the same at Birdworld or Marwell Zoo. If its a horrid wet, wild cold day I do it anyway, blows the cobwebs away.

I'm very fortunate in having the beach at the end of the road so if I've had a rotten day I invariably head there - like Clemelpol I'll go even if it's not a nice day - in fact, the wild and windier the better, it blows all the sh*te away. Watching the seagulls and other birds puts things in perspective too, somehow.

Other times I light loads of candles, lie on the floor and put something like Arvo Part's Alina on - it's really relaxing and dead conducive to doing nothing more demanding than listening to yourself breathe.

Or else if I need to vent I'll stick something like The Automatic's version of Golddigger on very, very loud in the kitchen and leap around the place singing my head off. Good job my neighbour is old and deaf, huh?

Personally watch a lot of comedies, play games that involve killing and listen to(happy) music.

Oh, oh and FAO Laura - I stand by my statement of not being psycho. Wink

My favourite way to deal with a shite day?
Get drunk.
Pass out.

Problem solved Laughing

No..seriously though.
Nice bath, followed by a bit of reading, and a glass of wine.

Two minutes of no noise, no distractions, no nothing.

Two minutes of peace, comming to terms with the days events.

Thus, rewarding yourself with a nights rest and an emptied mind of yesterdays troubles.

Yesterdays Troubles.
