I also hate ads, but they *do* work.
I bought a pizza on Sunday because I saw one advertised.
And it was LUSH!!!
(I sprinkled on some of the hot chilli oil I made over three days of gentle heating fresh red chillis in olive oil to leach all the flavour and heat into the oil - GORGEOUS!!!)

Aye, and the more annoying etc the advert the more effective, because you are more likely to remember them, however they may not make you dash out to get them, but while in the shop you may just be walking past them and pick them up, invariably buying them.

I wish chip shops did them in beef dripping/lard as the used to. Much better then swimming around in oil as they are now.
