Sorry to hear about that, hope she is better now.... But on a lighter note, I was most impressed by the donation you made to the Boobies thread not too long ago, most gernerous, and soooo greatly appreciated (by me for sure). ![]() |
She's fit as a fiddle now thanks! Just waiting on her reconstruction surgery
haha thanks Mega

I don't really give to charity, but a lot of that has to do with money, or more precisely, lack of it. When I get a job, I shall probably set up something where so much a month goes to a charity.
I do send old stuff to chairty shops though, and if there is a clothing collection or something I'll donate if possible.

Cancer research.... my mums had cancer 3 times.
McMillan... a group that helps those effected by cancer. They paid out a small sum of money years ago to my mum when she had her first breast cancer and more recently helped me with my rent when I had some reconstruction work done.
NSPCC. I used to donate via direct debit but cancelled when money was tight. I'll set it back up again when finances improve.
Just recently started donating to an asthma charity via direct debit.

Im really choosey when it comes to charity. I personally have been involved in a lot of fundraising for our local Maggies Cancer Care Centre which we have raised nearly £20,000 for in the last 3 years. I tend to only donate if its a cause I believe in. I don't normally give to random people in the street and I definately wont give to someone who comes to my door (I would rather donate some other way i.e online). The saying "charity begins at home" rings true with me too cos I often cant afford to give money without leaving myself skint.

Wow! Good for you Caz, I would really like to do something worthwhile for a good charity, and I shall be looking into it very soon....

Personally ive always admired the red cross, ..they do such good work all over the world and a lot of people, including many of our soldiers during the wars would not have lived if not for them. Something I feel very passionate about (maybe I should have added that to another thread lol

I do the same.
I also give money to charities that deal with animals, but not on a regular basis. I used to do one pro bono job every 2 months (I'd make, or revamp, a charity web site). I might start doing that again.

My pleasure (entirely)
And I think I deserve them, I have been a good boy lately, I've eaten all my greens and everthing.
If that's not enough for you, then PM me a list and I'll get started right away!
