Both my names are common as muck. Short of being called John Smith it can't get more common. That said I'm happy enough with it

I prefer Elizabeth to Laura-Annie for some reason. Although I do like my name..some of the time. It suits me, I think!

All your name is nice. Just kick your parents for missing a bit off your birth certificate! I know someone where they wrote the names in the wrong boxes so ended up with his name the wrong way round! ha ha

My father's mother's surname was McDonnell (in Ireland) and the registrar wrote MacDonald on her brother's birth certificate - which is Scottish - now there's loads of MacDonalds in Ireland haha.

And my mum's dad's surname is Arger, but the registrar wrote Archer on one of his brother's birth certificate.......so that side of the family is a bit complicated, as some of them have since changed it back to the original.

A cousin of mine was best friends with a famous pop singer, when he died in the 80's my cousin changed his name by deed poll to said popster's surname....more complications for ensuing family......

Basically, I think a name is just a superficial label, and you can call yourself whatever you want.

I quite like Terri for me. My first husband is Italian and my name translates to Teresa which is then shortened to Tere, pronounced 'terray', which then re-translates to Terri.

Or Dawn (one of my middle names) is another one I like.
