Are you the kind of person who must have meat every day? Or have you gone the vegetarian option? Why?

I've been lazy recently and am back to every day (the cafe below me doesn't help - the smell of bacon in the mornings yum)but I'm trying to get back into my healthy regime and an trying to give it a miss a couple of days a week. Also trying to have fish twice a week.

I think Its healthy eating less meat but its also energy efficient - it takes less energy to grow a meal-full of veg in general than the equivilant meat...

Omnivore while trying to choose the healthier option when I can

I am definitely a meat eater, but I was a vegetarian for a little bit to try it out (6 months or so). I liked it and did feel much healthier, but there is nothing better than a nice, medium rare steak! Little thongue man I was fine with doing it while I was away at college, but when coming home with my family, it was really hard to keep up. They are definitely carnivores- my dad doesn't consider it a meal if there isn't meat and potatoes!

And I wasn't a strict vegetarian- I would eat fish and seafood, as my quote was "fish- the vegetable of the sea" Laughing I guess I would have been considered a pescetarian then

Fairly strict veggie (not vegan) for over 10 years now. I can't honestly say it's a moral issue. If it came down to it and it was you and me on a desert island and there was no food then you'd better sleep with one eye open.

I did some work at a few rendering plants when I was younger and it put me off meat for life. I'm not gonna preach here (or anywhere else come to think of it; theres nothing worse than a preaching veggie) but after seeing what gets put into animal feed, and what we ultimately end up eating, that was enough.

I've had meat a few times since, but thats only when I've killed it myself or I know how it's been raised, ie organically. On the whole I steer well clear of it though.

most women like a good bit of meat sometimes but most prefer eating meat regularly Razz the ones that can't eat meat normally end up with a rabbit anyway.
