Home >> Anything else >> Can anybody explain why light bulbs keep exploding on me?
08.10.2006, 17:41 quote
Need some advice here guys - scientific rational explanations would be good, funny ones just as valid.
Now this happens to me all the time - not once or twice, not just at my place it seems to happen most places I go.
This bulbs have exploded on me in my Gran's house, my mums and twice at mine - and that's just this year.
Now I don't mean they just fizzle out, they really f##king pop - last night the bulb exploded right apart from it's metalic base - right out of the wall!
My brother came to vist me the day and he's just as baffled as me 'cause he's seen it happen.
Anybody got any idea what the hell's going on here?

OOOOOOhhh thats quite scary i know what u mean when one goes it seems within a few days they all want to go - but never had them exploding

Now I've tried to figure out if was something to do with clothes carpets but I can't find any link or rational explanation whatsoever.
My brother thinks it's something to do with electircal charge - which makes as good an explanation as to any other but it does not explain the 'why' this should be so.
Furthermore, it does explain why I shoulod be any different to anyone else with regards to this but I'm really starting to get annoyed with this - not only that it costs a bloody fortune in bulbs!! lol

electrical charge Letmein. I can't wear digital watches at all, and normal watches only on my right wrist (weird I know). And I get static shocks from all manner of things! P*sses me off sometimes.
