Well going by yours and Missme's attitude, I should then belive . . . I am ugly and no-one would look twice at me. Nobody would ever want to love me or marry me 'cos I'm not worth it and too ugly/fat.

It's the so-called 'platitudes' of friends and those that have loved me that have made me realise the truth... that I'm not ugly and that people won't see me purely for what's on the outside.

Really?

In my experience, you can tell an attractive person who thinks they're unattractive the truth as much as you like, they just don't believe it.

The realisation of the truth, if it comes at all, comes from inside, not outside.

But anyway, as I said, I'm not totally against platitudes, I can see why some people want them.

I just don't want them. I prefer to accept my shortcomings and make the best of what I've got.

Exactly my man, (had to google platitudes PMSL) but i dont really listen to anyones comments good or bad, i accepted a long time ago that i hit most of the Fugly branches on the way down and it no longer bothers me, theres nothing i can do to change it and thats that. If someone close to me tells me that im gorgeous then thats all i need to hear, i wont believe it LOL but its great to hear that they think it.
