At church the other day, a very elderly man complimented me on my lovely dark hair. I smiled with pride and said thankyou.....then he said "I expect you have to dye it, at your age"..........instead of telling him I'm 41 and do not dye my hair, i just shuffled off on my zimmer frame to sulk.....
When I turned 40 last year, my 14 yrs old said "I thought you had your 40th donkey's years ago!". Gee, thanks, I just feel it......
What bothers me most is that all the doctors, bank managers and coppers these days look school age and i want to clip them round the ear for their smart ass talk.......

I can relate to that, I have to work sometimes with the police, and it is quite shocking how young they seem to be getting.
Perhaps it is just me getting older, but when I was young (20) all the coppers looked like they were 40-plus.

About 4 yrs ago I got in a bit of mess with my finances and went to see the financial advisor at my bank to discuss things....her brother was in my son's class at school, and he was only 6 yrs younger than her!! Worse was, being in cornwall and having a somewhat unique cornish surname, she knew exactly who I was straight away! I was so humiliated having to discuss my financial issues with this snooty little girl......!!!
