From what I understand SC moved to London, giving up a home and 'normal' life in (I think it was) Stoke, to live on the streets to find a woman he can date and do rude things to - that was his sole reason for moving. On his move to London, either intentially or by chance he became homeless, and from his posts I think he moved to London straight into a squat - so from house to homeless in one easy move. SC, from what I understand is unwilling to put anything back into society that is helping him (for example, if he gets hurt he will be looked after, despite I think not paying towards the medical system). Thousands in the bank (his words), but wont spend them to help his life get easier and acheive his goals He winds me up with his negative attitude towards life 'I cant because...' and one track of thought 'I have never had a girlfriend and I am desperate to "Get Off" with a woman', and I think most people here have been very patient with him, and ignored the fact that many threads have been taken over by his issues with people offering thoughts and advice. One or 2 members mayhave had a few bad words to write, but that is society. I think, though, when you read SC's posts the cross words are repeated when he repeats the same posts (not the exact text, but the exact same meaning), regardless of the subject they are talking about and this repeated cross words to the repeated posts could look like bullying - but perhaps its just the conversation repeating itself. You'll find where SC talks about things other than his homelessness or "getting off" with women, then the cross words stop and pleasent threads happen. SC - If any of this is very wrong, PM me and Ill edit this, dont want to be accused of bullying you and doing you an injustice. Oh, and welcome to the forums Waffus. |
I think you've summed it up well Sparky.
I started off defending Stoney (If you feel the need, check the posts for Redoctober, that's me) standing up for him where possible having a small amount of understanding of the psyche of some of the reasons people become homeless. I finally lost my temper in the arts forum. I really really do fail to understand how he can turn an arts thread into a moan about not being able to pull, in just one message!!
Now I just try to ignore him, not always successfully, but I do try.

There has been a long running campaign by non leftists for against Chinas' illegal occupation of Tibet for example with a regular tiny picket of the Chinese embassey in London. But there is not a leftist in site at this protest. The same goes for Zimbabwe where every Saturday afternoon there is a protest by Zimbawe ex pats against Mugabes' regime yet again no lefties in sight.

Oh, I was talking to a friend today about Brian Haw - he was telling me stuff.
Anyway apparantly they are making laws in Parliment to stop his protests in subtle waysm and they are saying they are Anti Terror laws (OR - 'Control The Population Laws, but sneak it past them and call it anti-terror Laws')
So here are a couple of thingsa I didnt know.
1 Law limits the size of a protesters area he can occupy - and that was about half of what Brian had so he had to cut down his camp a bit
2 There is a limit to the amount of Placards and things a protestor can use - fewer than he had so he had to get rid of them
3 There is a 2km exclusion zone round parliment for protests or something
So... The tate modern gallery took his spare slogans and found a gallery 2km from parliment and displayed them there with a note explaining that on one half of the room, being more than 2km from parliment, the slogans are legal, The other half of the room - under 2km from there, the slogans are illegal, which I thought was funny
Oh, and also Brian Haw shouts out Tony B Liar
It might be worth a visit to the Tate SC and find out what they say there? and let us know

America Britain and Israel are whats predominantly on the news, hence more people are aware of their policies and therefore protest against it. Not enough people know about china's sterilization of the tibetans. So not enough people are outraged enough to protest and make a significant impact. Also considering that China is going to be the next big frontier for world wide business as it opens its markets, we'll probably only hear more good things about the place rather than bad. As far as i know everyone thinks Mugabe is an arsehole, no point protesting when everyone is in agreement.
What is a leftist exactly?
How would you describe those zimbabwe ex-pats stonecastle? lefties or righties?
