What do all the homeless charities do then?
They put you up in their hell hole hostels thats all. Homeless charities are not housing associations they don't give people flats. All they do is provide hostels. That is how they make the bulk of their money from hostel rents. In London it can take up to four years to move from a hostel to a flat.

Would rather be in a hell hole as you say.........than on the streets, you have the funds, stop feeling sorry for yourself.....

I am not living on the streets I am sleeping at night in the woods on Hampstead Heath. I have also got a mate called Malcolm who lives in a big three man tent in Ham Riverside Lands near Teddington Lock between Kingston and Richmond. He much prefers to live there than in a hostel.

You also have to pay a service charge of about 15 pounds a week in hostels out of your own money. That is on top of the 200 a week the hostel gets from housing benefit. Many homeless reject hostels because they know they are just a racket.

i cant see how you can make a statement such as this which is untrue and which looks like it has been made just to bully or humiliate stonecastle. how can you prove that a single penny of your taxes went towards paying anyones benefits....that is complete and utter claptrap....maybe your taxes were spent dropping cluster bombs on to innocent iraqi children...maybe they were spent arming the warhea\ds of israeli neuclear bombs...maybe they were spent paying a cleaner to mop around the trolleys full of old people in our hospitals corridors...maybe they were spent on lessons of police brutality...perhaps they were spent on speed cameras....t what youre saying is bullshit and you should apologise to stonecastle for attacking him in such a shallow way, which says a lot more about you than him.
in a democracy everyone has the right to work or not; stonecastle has chosen not to and that is his entitlement

He has a right to be a tramp

We have a right to express our opinion - freedom of speech

but hes being ganged up on and bullied for having his opinion...double standards or what?. maybe guitargirl and aradons taxes were spent keeping you in prison. dont you think you should pay them back

incidentally, hes homeless, not a tramp

reminds me of pastor niemollers poem

First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out—
because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
because I was not a socialist;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
because I was not a trade unionist;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for me—
and there was no one left to speak out for me
