im my opinion its nature.

I remember discussing this in political and religious forums before, and when i posted this statement no one gave me an answer. Basically there was some bible bashers claiming the usual nonsense that it was unnattural and that a penis was solely made for the vagina and it was a perversion of the natural order etc. etc. etc.

A man's G'spot is up his arse, god alone knows why its there, but there is only one way to reach it.

So in my opinion people are born with it.

Sorry, going a bit off track there, I think there is an element of learned and genetic behaviour in it all, untill you have tried being gay you never know if you are perhaps?
My little brother guessed at about 11 years of age that he was different from his mates. He hid it for over 15 years. Got married, had 2 kids. As far as I'm concerned, to have guessed so young, he was born like it.

Nah it's both tbh.

A "natural" gay would prolly be the result of hormonal imbalance etc, but people can choose to go one way or the other at anytime, there are so many different factors involved.

Not all can choose. My brother said he hated love with his wife, made him feel sick. It wasn't til she had an affair he decided 'sod it', left her and explored his feelings. He's not looked back.

No I didn't say that, I said it's either or. Some will just be drawn to men and maybe not understand it, while some will simply choose to go gay.

A recent study supports X-linkage from a different perspective. Women have two X chromosomes, one of which is "switched off". In some cases though, it appears that this switching off can occur in a non-random fashion. Bocklandt in 06 reported that the number of women with extreme skewing of X chromosome inactivation is significantly higher in mothers of gay men than in age-matched controls without gay sons. 4% of controls showed extreme skewing compared to 13% of the mothers with gays sons and 23% of mothers with two or more gay sons.

Also, male homosexuality appears likely to be influenced by a complex genetic interaction which may be mediated by H-Y antigens in the mother’s immune system. Whichever genes are implicated they almost certainly cause male brains to differentiate in a female typical direction. Esepcially when it comes to shoes Wink

As for female homosexuality, there remains little evidence from replicated genetic linkage studies.

So pretty much its in the genes, with some environmental factors also, so this "if you hang around with gayers, you'll turn out a gayer too" is boll*cks.

Yes I think it is genetic as well. Gays also tend to have similar traits to each other as well such as a slight lisp in their speach and slightly female sounding voices. Anorexia which is common in women is also common in gay men aswell. Which seems to suggests a genetic origin.
