Willing to actually get to know someone that is... so far ive tried to actually start up conversation with people... and i either dont get a reply, or in the event i do... its "your not my type"...
How do they know? you dont know someone till you talk to them... women talk about how they want a genuine loving guy, but the only guys i see getting any form of attention are the ones who DONT respect women... what am i doing wrong?

Not gonna lie, how attracted i am to a guy/girl is at least if not more 50% based on their appearance. however, having said that there are people i have been unsure about when i've seen their pictures or met in day-to-day life but getting to know them, and liking what i knew made me find them attractive. i don't know if that makes sense. i am not a vain person but for me mutual physical attraction is very important.

I don't know how you see who gets the attention on here really......... anyhow, I don't think you're necessarily doing anything wrong, but I would think you had enough on your profile that somebody may be able to tell that you weren't their type without talking first. For example if they're not passionate about music.......I can't see them being supportive for your career, plus the change in your lifestyle could be dramatic if you ended up being controlled by a record company.

As for the career, yeah would be nice to have someone who supported my choice, and well the record label wouldnt control me... but the band, well, need to read the small print :L
And... hitler had a pretty good plan, and was a very smart man indeed... unfortunately it went to his head, and he went the wrong way about improving germany...

On the chatrooms it's hard to stand out. And with the guys who PM and waggle their junk in women's faces, it makes them a lot less willing to get into private chats with people. Hence the mindless babble. There is a point to it - it's a 'getting to know you' exercise. You get involved, people see you, you gain some trust, you can make some in-roads.
But I digress.
The issue is, men outnumber women here in a big way. And a lot of the men have the exact same thing to say. Like I said in chat a few days ago, it's as if there's a Perv Code which they all must adhere too. The lesson is, to keep trying. You will get rejected a lot - you're bound to when you look at the odds you're against. What you can do is be yourself. Make your topics interesting, sound interested in the person and keep at it.
Let's face it, if a gal goes for the shallow guy, was she the girl for you in the first place? Some girls like shallow guys, just like some guys like shallow girls. It's easy to get disheartened but if you keep at it, eventually you'll find someone you'll click with.

My thoughts exactly.
Rapists and mass murderers are alright since they never to 40 in a 30 miles per hour zone.
Paedophiles are ok because the never shop lift or drive without insurance causing my premiums to go through the roof. Most of them work rather than scrounge on the dole- the model citizens.
Hitler was not all bad since he treated Eva to the best money could buy during the war. That man had regard and respect of his woman. Not many a man can say that.
