Dying for a belief or beliefs?

Hard question.

To defend the idea of justice perhaps, to defend ones people from an agressor.
To buy time for the world we live in, a world where there is light happyness, and safety for childeren. Considering how many have been thrown against the arbitary forces of nature and human evil in that cause, the cause of a safe and ordered world. I'd say each second of peace and tranquility has been purchased in blood.

But I see no need for mortals to die for gods, gods are far more powerful than us whether one has one god or many, and they can take care of themselves.

The sun on the meadow is summery warm
The stag in the forest runs free
But gathered together to greet the storm -
Tomorrow belongs to me.

The branch on the linden is leafy and green
The Rhine gives its gold to the sea
But somewhere a glory awaits unseen -
Tomorrow belongs to me.

The babe in his cradle is closing his eyes
The blossom embraces the bee
But soon says the whisper, "Arise, arise" -
Tomorrow belongs to me.

Now Fatherland, Fatherland show us the sign
Your children have waited to see
The morning must come when the world is mine -
Tomorrow belongs to me.

I love this song, its very beautiful. Ever since you put it up i've been humming it alot! I think it was used by the Nazi party at some point? I can see why, its very moving. Its a bit like the Socialists used to have The Red Flag as their Rally Cry/Anthem. Patriotic songs are usually very moving.

It was used by the Nazis but, like the Swastika, it is much, much older than the Nazi party. I think it's a beautiful and very rousing song, as you say.

Not really no.

I'm actually more into the Italian fascism than the British version, the Italians did it quite well and it worked. Fascism, if done properly, does work.

Italian Fascism? Did you know that the word Fascism is meant to refer only to Italian Fascism but has since been used to describe similar idealogies around the world? That intrigued me when I found out.

And as an Italian Fascist would say.... credere, obbedire, combattere (believe, obey, fight!)

Well, like I said earlier in thread it would depend upon certain, specific sets of circumstances. My political beliefs don't completely define me as a person, and neither are they black and white... I seem to have taken a bit from here, a bit from there, and mixed it all together to make my own personal politics.
