the big ones just have to go I jump too much when I spot them.

I once spotted one and let it go. The following morning I was just comming to when I had an itch on the outside of my thigh, scratched, realised I was feeling a cold and almost damp-feeling little ball, then remembered the spider.

All hell broke loose. My ex didn't need an alarm clock that morning.

horrible it was

Evil or Very Mad

I still love em, facinating little things but Just Don't Fookin Come Near Me!

I absolutely hate dealing with spiders, so I avoid them, lol. I figure they'll just crawl away sooner or later, or hopefully someone else will find it and kill it.

Let 'em go about their business every time. They kill stuff far more irritating. You can't mess about with the pecking order.

chikhai i'd prefer to be like that but the big mothers make me freak! And if lobbing them out the window would help then I would but they've proven that a sider will allways find its way home.

So sorry, in this country if its the size of a ten bob I better not see it twice.

the smaller ones are on good behaviour

in other parts of the world that would have to change...

I'd have to catch it in a glass and then throw it outside or put it down the pan ... I would kill it, but I hate the crunchy noise when you stand on it or squish it in a tissue...Ohhhhhh thats sending shivers down my back just thinking about it Sad

Brilliant when I was 10 with 2 younger sisters....

not too keen on handling them, tarantulas are a bit weird and too hairy.

Oh, used to make false ones out of paper clips, solder and paint, leave them round the house for sisters to see (some were really realistic) and now they have no problems with real spiders which is quite annoying because its ruined my fun!!

Yeh I do that sometimes. Should have put an option for that dude, sorry.

I found one last year on my towel f'christ 's sake! About 2 cm long with purplish leggs and orangy abdomen! I almost hit the roof! I was wearing only shorts, bare feet and on the way to the bathroom. I picked up the towel, realised I had seen something out the corner of my eye so looked down hoping to find a rolled up ball of hair - to see that thing! Dropped the towel and leaped onto the bed!

it didn't help that I was feeling a bit 'ropey' that day.

glass of wine and the insrtion of my feet into a pair of boots later, that one got squished - with the bottom of a large empty water bottle...
