I think I se what happened there.... this guy's previous car will have, likely as not, been of american manufacture.
Now, as we all know, american cars have the cornering characteristics of your average oil tanker.. mainly because american roads are devoid of corners !!
So now he's bought this spritely japanese thing and at the first corner tried to turn as if he were still in an american car (ie. full lock for a 5 degree corner) and whoooosh... into the tree he's gone !

Either that or he was aiming at the tree in the first place.... in which case, I'm guessing we'll see the guys name in the Darwin Awards in the not too distant future
