K look i ain't really one person to just butt in and ask stupid questions.
I was told never to talk to strangers but problem is that works both ways strangers never talk to you if you think about it thats a little stupid cos you will never make new friends unless you are introduced.

Guy like me i have very few friends and barely go out enough to meet new people.

So now i feel akward in sending people IMs i guess at first you could say it's shy but i tend to look at profiles and see what i have in common with them.

i just can't stand 50 cent and he seems to be on everyones profile right now ^___^

Ermm.....There must be at least some profiles out that with at least a couple of common interests!

I could go on for ever with reasons Not to IM someone but that just makes me feel like a coward.

It's to put intrests down on the profile for a start you can't say everyone is in to a set number of bands and there ain't many to pick from.

i couldn't see Incubus for a start.
Book authers also seem limited to the popular ones.
least i was able to ISBN some of my fave books.

I guess if there's a few bands you like there..people get the general idea as to what you listen to..I think.

Just..read a profile, pick something off the profile to build a message around..and sorted!

I don't think any particular singers or bands makes any difference. In fact, imo it doesn't matter if someone likes a style you don't, it doesn't make them bad people. Each to their own.


We were told to never talk to strangers when we were little, but your parents won't say now, "don't talk to strangers" unless they're silly. It's a completely different scenario now to when we were 5.

I do agree about the list being short, but it'd probably be better to leave out singers/ bands or replace it with a text box. People can know what you're into from the types of music category. To also add- the same tastes in music doesn't mean you will get on with them.
