I'm not trying to be offensive, I am merely going off the observations of living with people with the disorder. What you're describing is exactly the same thing my ex had a problem with, and my son as well - very picky eating, where even textures would start them gagging. It's hardly an insult - actually I'd be offended myself if you saw it that way, as my son isn't stupid and he isn't mental, he just sees life a little from the left.
In any event, yes I'll see what other recipes I can dig up.

Funnily enough..I can't eat stuff like yoghurt that has fruit pieces in it, or it isn't smooth, either.
It's a pain in the ass. I can eat them, they just make me puke after..ugh.

Make Lassis! You can get fruit puree at any indian specialty food store (mango puree works a treat). Blend the puree with yoghurt and a touch of mango or orange juice to thicken. Completely smooth drink, plenty of probiotic stuff to keep you healthy, and you get your calcium too - just drink and hour before or after anything high in iron.
And now avert your eyes, I'm about to do another meat recipe as this one comes with an amusing story.

Carribean Curry:
This recipe actually started a house brawl. No, I'm not kidding. I posted it for a group of friends who wanted to make a special curry for football mates coming over the US. So she cooked this up, served it and there happened to be only one serving left in the pan. Both of the blokes claimed it for themselves, and wouldn't back down. One actually made a break for the kitchen to try and get to it first, and the second guy actually tackled him to the floor, trying to get to the kitchen before the first did. The two ladies saw this as their chance and they made a break to the kitchen to scoop up the pot of curry and try to run to a safe place. Both guys realised they'd been had and pursued the women all over the house to try and get the curry off them, before finally deciding to team together and tell the girls they'd tackle them both to the floor if they didn't had the pot of curry over. The ladies had to relent as these were some HUGE blokes, so the lads split the curry amongst one another, and the girls had to content themselves with wiping out the pot with bits of bread.
I couldn't believe it, but I suppose it does me proud to know my recipes can start a fight for the last bits, though I'd prefer if everyone decided to get their freak-on instead....I haven't found a recipe THAT good yet.
Carribean Curry
- This calls for goat. Oh please don't give me that look, if you eat lamb what's the difference? Please find a reputable butcher who can get some goat meat for you and try it at least once. If not I suppose I'll allow you to sully the beauty of my recipe with lamb...just don't tell me about it
Cut about two pounds of goat into two inch cubes (or lamb if you absolutely MUST). Place the goat/lamb/your animal of choice into a bowl and rub in 2 tablespoons curry powder, 3 crushed garlic cloves, 1 finely chopped onion (use red if you can), 4 thyme sprigs (can get thyme fresh rather easy these days, but if you must use 1 teaspoon dried), 3 bay leaves, 1 teaspoon allspice and 2 Tablespoons olive oil. Make sure the spice mixture thoroughly coats the meat and put in the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Next day, melt for tablespoons of ghee or butter in a pan, add your seasoned meat and fry on a relatively high heat- this will make a lot of spicy smoke so watch out!. make sure you seal the sides of the meat really well as you want to seal in the juices. Now, add about hm, 3 1/4 cups stock - measurements again, I've no idea!. Add a touch of chili pepper, and let all this simmer for about an hour or until the meat is tender. You will need to watch it doesn't burn as it will thicken on you, so add water as you need to but not TOO much.
Remember to remove your bay leaves, and pour over rice and serve. It's a more peppery curry than Indian spicy. And try not to hurt anyone for the last bits in the pot, ok?
And that's my recipes done for today, though I'll add my Hep Mama's sentiments as I always do when sharing recipes; "Food is love."

Why would talking about meat bother me?
Like I said before, i'm not a vegetarian, I just don't eat meat. I will eat it if there's nothing else, though.

I highly freakin' doubt it.

Two questions:
1: Goat - never thought on it before, but never had a recipe for it so
a) what cut do you go for?
b) what does it taste like, if anything?
2: What type of curry power? {indian style perhaps}
Interesting the use of the curry powder in the actual marinaid - done marinaids for curry dishes but never in that way.

most of the time you can get the leg cuts - essentially the "tough" bits as you're going to simmer for a while, though goat shouldn't be that tough, at least not as tough as mutton.

I use garam masala - anything with too much tumeric and you'll lose the carribean spiciness.

It's often referred to as a rub, really tends to allow the flavour to sink into the meat before cooking.
