Toothpaste in a pump dispenser works? I can understand how soap in a pump dispenser works - displacement of air forcing soap up and through nozzle but toothpaste dispensers appear to work differently and it's ruining my life - but at least my teeth are clean...

Yeah I know there's a 'wee platform thing' but what makes that force the toothpaste out?
I mean it's not based on air displacement so how does it actually work?
I'm baffled!!

i "think" that the tube is slightly pressurised, now when you press the little thing down, it pushes into the toothpaste displacing it forcing it upwards, and the pressure makes sure the bit at the bottom pushes the rest up

not 100% sure though

Cool ill give you a hint when you go fair theres that thing if it hits the bell, and you hit on it mallet drying to reach it,pressure is applied to force it to go up it cant go down, its law of gravity, omg did i just say this
